Where can SmartLotion® safely be applied?
Any and all skin areas. For sensitive areas like the face, Dr. Harlan typically suggests applying SmartLotion® 2x per day for up to 2 weeks, then tapering down. For thicker skin areas like the hands and feet, 4x applications per day for up to 4 weeks followed by tapering is typical. Your provider will confirm the exact schedule for your condition in your personalized plan.
Which package should I choose?
If you mainly want answers, the Consultation gets you a diagnosis and your complete personalized plan. Most patients choose the Starter Kit, which adds SmartLotion® so treatment can begin the moment your plan arrives. If your dermatitis covers larger areas of the body — or more than one area — the Complete Kit includes the supply Dr. Harlan typically recommends for the first month of treatment. Be sure to list your current medications in your intake questionnaire so your provider can build your plan around them.
I am allergic to sulfa drugs. Can I use SmartLotion®?
Yes. The natural prebiotic sulfur featured in the SmartLotion® formula is completely unrelated to Sulfa drugs (common antibiotics). Note any drug allergies in your intake questionnaire so your provider can account for them in your plan.
Can my child be treated through this program?
