Self-Care Guide For Acne Treatment Irritation
Apply a thin disappearing layer of SmartLotion two times daily for two weeks, then taper gradually to use as needed. Use a cold icy compression for three minutes after applying SmartLotion. See your dermatologist for supervision and antibiotic products that work well with SmartLotion. If your irritation is from Retin A®, tretinoin, adapalene, or Differin® (retinoids), reduce the retinoid to every other day and then gradually increase as tolerated. You’ll get great results from your acne therapy combined with the SmartLotion strategy!
